Flipkart: a central Indian e-commerce platform, is introducing a metaverse purchasing experience.

Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has recently introduced a metaverse purchasing experience. This is a part of its ongoing experiment with web3 in the e-commerce business initiative, they are offering more ways to enhance customer experience and enable users to explore and purchase new items interactively. The service is in the experimental stage and is intended to grab attention during this festive season.

Walmart teamed up with eDAO, to introduce its metaverse service to find out the output of e-commerce business, which has been termed Flipverse. The Flipkart Android app will be launched by Flipverse on Monday. The company is providing "gamified, interactive, and immersive" experiences for customers. 

Due to the launch of this app Customers will be able to collect Super coins, the company's loyalty points, along with digital collectibles from the product line as they make purchases.

According to Flipkart, "a wide range of companies" are collaborating to establish immersive experience theaters on Flipverse, including Puma, Noise, Nivea, Lavie, Tokyo Talkies, Campus, VIP, Ajmal Perfumes, and Himalaya. This collaboration will open a new edge of e-commerce business in the metaverse world.

The Company also mentioned that “The purpose is to introduce Flipverse to millions of people and users in the future of retail .”The company's executives admitted that the web3 services are still in the testing phase, but they showed confidence in their ability to take off and eventually play a significant role in Flipkart's future.

Flipkart’s other executive said “We were the first Indian firm to introduce web 2.0-based commerce 15 years ago. And I believe that we are the first business to introduce web 3.0 commerce till now.”

Along with Flipkart, Amazon is expanding its product lines to appeal to more South Asian consumers. Last month, more than 150 employees were recruited to conduct live streams and promote items through videos.

The co-founder of Polygon mentioned in a statement, “Top brands and Flipkart's e-commerce know-how virtual setting have the potential to completely transform online shopping. I'm happy that this activation is happening on Polygon because Flipverse will be a vivid, visible representation of the metaverse,"

Polygon's most recent success is achieved because of the expanded cooperation with Flipkart. In recent months, the Ethereum scaling platform worked with a number of firms, such as Meta, Stripe, and Starbucks.

Flipverse is not Flipkart's first venture into web3. Earlier this year, the business collaborated with Carl Pei's Nothing to provide special NFTs to individuals who purchased the smartphone through the platform.

Naren Ravula, VP and Head of Product Strategy and Deployment at Flipkart Labs,  statemented that, “The launch of Flipverse will have an influence on modern industrial societies such as e-commerce and increase the user experience by providing game-based and immersive purchasing.

It has been taken in a shape by the adoption of the metaverse and web3 platforms by multiple brands in India. We hope to improve consumers' shopping experiences in a virtual and immersive context by giving them access to their chosen brands, deals, SuperCoins, and digital collectibles.”
